“Three Outs and a Big Smile!” ⚾π
Hi everyone!
I had another softball game, and guess what… we played the Bears again! π»
Last time they beat us 4 to 2… but this time WE WON 3 to 1!! π
I got to play three different positions—shortstop, third base, and first base. That was really fun (and a little busy too!).
At third base, I stopped two ground balls from getting past me. I didn’t get the runners out because I didn’t field them perfectly, but I still kept the ball in the infield and helped my team. My coach said that was important!
Then I moved to first base, and that’s where something AWESOME happened…
I fielded three ground balls in the SAME inning and ran to first base to get all three outs by myself!! π²⚾
My teammates were cheering and giving me lots of high fives—it made me feel so happy!
Now for batting:
-
My first at-bat, I hit a hard line drive to first base. The first baseman dropped it, so I made it to first safely.
That’s called reaching on an error, and it does NOT count as a hit, so it doesn’t help my batting average—but I still got on base and helped my team! -
My second at-bat, I hit a double all the way to the fence in center field! π₯
Later, I ran all the way home and scored a run!
I didn’t get any RBIs this game, but that’s okay because my team played great and we won!
This was one of my favorite games because I helped my team on defense and got a big hit too.
See you next game! ⚾π
Love Bella
