⚾ Bella’s Baseball Blog: Two Games, Big Lessons!
Hi everyone! It’s Bella, and I have TWO games to tell you about this time!
🟥 Game One – April 18 vs. the Cardinals
We played the Cardinals, and guess what… we won 8 to 0—our first shutout of the season! 🎉
I had a really great day at the plate and went 3 for 3 with two singles and one double. That felt AWESOME!
Our team record after the game was 4 wins and 3 losses.
🟦 Game Two – April 25 vs. the Bobcats
This game was a wild one—it went back and forth the whole time!
The Bobcats started strong and took a 2–0 lead in the top of the first, but our team made some great defensive plays and left their bases loaded.
Then in the bottom of the first, we came right back! The Saints scored 3 runs to take the lead 3–2, and I hit a single with an RBI.
In the second inning, the Bobcats scored again to go up 4–3, but we answered right back (again!) with two runs to take a 5–4 lead. I made it to first on an error and came all the way around to score the go-ahead run!
But in the third inning, the Bobcats had a big inning and scored five runs, making it 9–5.
I hit a double later in the game, but we couldn’t get any more runs, and we lost.
For the game, I went 2 for 3 with a single, a double, and also reached base on an error.
💭 What I Learned
This game taught me something important.
I played third base, shortstop, and second base, and I know my fielding wasn’t my best. At shortstop, two hard-hit balls got past me and rolled all the way to the fence. That helped the Bobcats score their big inning.
I didn’t feel great about that—but I know what I need to work on, and I’m determined to get better! 💪
📊 Season Update
Our record is now 4 wins and 4 losses.
We’re learning, improving, and having fun—and I can’t wait for the next game!
(Thanks for reading my blog!) ⚾
